"I truly speak from my heart when I say that Global Brigades was an experience I will never forget. For the longest time I have dreamed of serving abroad, but I could never find the right opportunity.  After getting back from Honduras, I was able to say I successfully achieved my dream and it is all thanks to Global Brigades. Everything was so thoroughly planned, which enabled me to have the greatest experiences that I never even imagined having for myself.  I took risks, met the most amazing people, experienced a beautiful culture, and made some really good friends. If I could offer one piece of advice it would be to listen to your heart (as cheesy as it sounds). Several people told me not to go on the Brigade, but my heart has always urged me to help people.  Nothing else matters when it comes from the heart because your choices become so relatively simple; you are either willing to listen or you aren’t.  My time in Honduras is something that I will forever cherish, so please go travel and learn! You won’t regret it."

"Pushing myself out of my comfort zone and getting to experience a totally different way of life is something I will never regret. It's easy to get caught in that which we are familiar with, but experiencing new things allows for growth, and I have definitely grown from my experience with Global Brigades. It was amazing to be able to see the different ways in which Global Brigades has impacted the community we visited from installing a new water system to medical help, and legal assistance. TAMU Global Legal Empowerment opened my eyes to the economic and social disparities that many of us are so unaware of despite our best efforts to educate ourselves.
